Tap Goal is a fun 3D paper-soccer game built with HTML5 / Construct 3, made for portrait mobile screens. Each team has five folded paper players standing on a green pitch. Arrange your team, move or turn the paper nearest to the ball, then tap its boot and flick the ball toward the goal. The first team to reach the chosen number of goals wins. Challenge the Computer AI offline, play locally with a friend on the same device, or compete against another player in an Online Multiplayer match.
Features:
How to Play
Objective:
Score more goals than your opponent. The first team to reach the chosen number of goals (1, 3, 5 or 7) wins the match.
Starting the Game:
Choose a game mode from the main menu. The first turn is chosen at random. Before the kick-off, drag your papers to where you want them on the pitch, then tap START when you are ready.
Taking a Turn:
Only the paper nearest to the ball, on the turn of its team, can be moved, turned and kicked. Step 1: move or turn that paper, then tap its boot icon. Step 2: tap the paper to kick. The closer to the boot you tap, the harder the kick; hitting the side of the paper curves the ball.
Rubber Walls:
There are no throw-ins, corner kicks or goal kicks. Rubber walls surround the pitch, so the ball always stays in play. When the ball hits a wall, or is about to stop near one, it bounces back toward the nearest paper. Opponent papers close to the kicker turn transparent and never block your placement.
After a Goal:
After every goal both teams get a short, timed set-up phase to re-arrange their papers before play continues.
Winning:
When a team reaches the chosen number of goals, the match ends and a popup shows the result with PLAY AGAIN and MENU options.
Game Modes:
The game features three different ways to play:
VS Computer:
Play against the Computer AI without requiring an internet connection. Pick a difficulty level and practice or enjoy a full match anytime.
2 Players:
Two players share the same device and take turns. No internet connection is needed for this mode.
Online Mode:
Choose Play Online and the game connects to a room and waits for another player. Once an opponent joins, both players place their papers and tap START. The ball, the papers and the score are synchronized between both devices. After the match, players can ask for a rematch, and if a player leaves, the other one is told that the opponent left.
Note on Online Multiplayer:
Online Multiplayer is powered by Construct 3’s built-in Multiplayer plugin and, by default, uses Construct’s free public signalling server to connect the two players — so it works out of the box, with no extra setup required to play as described above.
However, please note that online multiplayer features in general are services that depend on an external network layer, and going beyond this basic setup — for example, more reliable connections on restrictive networks, player accounts, private rooms, matchmaking, leaderboards, or supporting a large number of concurrent players — often requires setting up an additional external backend, such as Firebase or Photon. These services typically involve ongoing subscription or usage-based hosting costs that are not included with this item and are the responsibility of the buyer/end user if they choose to add or scale up such features.
VS Computer and 2 Players modes work fully without an internet connection and do not require any backend service.
The project is built with Construct 3 and is designed to be exported as HTML5. The game can be played on PC, mobile devices, and tablets. Opening the project requires a Construct 3 subscription.
