Take Me Back – Apple Watch app that shows distance and direction to the POI
Standalone Apple Watch app that works offline. Ready for App Store submission. Built with modern SwiftUI and MVVM software design pattern.
The idea of the app is to provide a quickly accessible button on your Apple Watch to save the current GPS location. When you press the button app immediately saves your location. Until you press the Stop button app will show you the distance from you to that saved location as well as bearing to it. Additionally, it will show you the amount of time that passed since you started the app.
The app helps you to find a way back when you:
- left your car in big parking;
- stay in a hotel in a random city or country;
- found some interesting POI but want to get back later;
Also, the app may be used for approximate distance calculations. Press the Start button, walk to the next point and see the distance from you to the saved point in real-time.
