The Problem SplitVAT Solves

WooCommerce only allows one tax class per line item. But many businesses sell products that legally require multiple VAT rates on a single invoice.

Wrong! Food and beverages are taxed at the same rate. This violates German BMF regulations.

Correct! Each portion has its own VAT rate. Invoice is legally compliant. Customer saved €2.94 in VAT.

In Germany, this split is legally required since January 1, 2026 (BMF regulation). Similar requirements exist in Austria, Switzerland, France, and other EU countries.
