Rosehill Castle – Merge Story: a Cozy Merge-2 Castle Restoration HTML5 Game
Merge items, help the castle folk, repair nine rooms and bring a forgotten castle back to life before the Harvest Ball.
Welcome to Rosehill Castle, a complete and cozy merge game built with plain JavaScript. Nora the carpenter receives a letter from the King: whoever restores Rosehill Castle before the Harvest Ball becomes its Lady. Tap the generators for tools, planks, flowers, fabric and flour, merge two of a kind into something better, hand the finished item to the friend who asked for it and spend the stars you earn to repair the castle, one job at a time.
Every repair is a small show: the broken fountain, door or chandelier changes on its own while the rest of the room stays as it was. When a room is finished the interface slips away and the whole room is rebuilt in front of you, repair by repair. Nine rooms later the Harvest Ball begins and the story reaches its ending.
Game Features:
- A Story with a Beginning and an End, an illustrated intro, chat scenes with a cast of friends, a finale and a Harvest Ball ending, then free play
- Merge-2 Board, a 7×9 board with five generators and six item chains, 41 hand-painted items
- Obstacles, wooden crates that break next to a merge, cobwebbed items that free themselves when you drop a match on them, and covered corners that open as the story goes on
- Nine Rooms to Restore, courtyard, great hall, kitchen, library, greenhouse, stable, chapel, wine cellar and ballroom, each in a ruined and a restored painting
- Repairs You Can See, every job restores only its own object, with a sparkle trail, and a finished room is replayed repair by repair
- Castle Folk, friends who wait on a shelf with an order card, chat in speech bubbles and cheer when you serve them
- Jigsaw Mini-Game, ten picture puzzles with a three-hour cooldown and a star reward
- Item Book and Journey, collect every item of a chain for a chest, and follow all nine rooms with locks on the ones still ahead
- Gentle Lesson, a short hands-on tutorial that follows what is really on the board
