Quiz: The Game

Quiz: The Game is an HTML5 game with multiple choice questions and various question types. Questions were taken from free sites or created by me.

The basis of the game is made with Vanilla Javascript. The game is compatible with Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari and Edge browsers. It has a resolution of 1280×979 pixels. This resolution and above can be viewed full screen on devices such as Laptops and PCs. It also has a responsive design for Laptop and PC. However, it may not display properly on mobile devices.

Test Section

Test Section contains classic multiple choice questions. This section is classic test style “quiz game” format. This section consists of 10 questions (with update 1). It is based on a quick answer counting down from 10 seconds for each question.

Mixed Section

Mixed Section contains seven different types of question structures. These:

• Multiple choice (test)

• Multiple answers

• True False

• Fill in the blanks

• Order (drag and drop sorting)

• Pairing via drag and drop

• Select from the list

This section consists of 7 questions. And it has a global timer that counts down from 7 minutes.

Other Features

• Equipped with appropriate sounds. It can be turned on or off from Settings Section of Main Menu.

• Also Score Screen has a different visual and sound structure depending on the score you receive.

• The game is also a template. It is aimed to teach people the relevant structures. It is also well documented. However, in some places, the original English names are not included in detail because they are considered sufficient for understanding.

Adding Questions (only in Test Section)

• Before starting Test Section in the main menu, you can make changes to the questions and answers by ticking the “Edit Mode” option.

• When you come to the last page in Edit mode, if you click on the relevant button, it will ask where you want to save your changes. If you select the data.txt file in the project directory, it will overwrite it. Then, new questions will automatically come to the system from the file.

License

Although the Regular License is sufficient in most cases, if you intend to convert it into a new end product and sell it, etc., you need to purchase the Extended License. Notes

• File operations in Edit Mode currently only work on localhost (but questions can also be changed from the data.txt file). Please watch the Video Preview to see the full working version of the project.
• I am open to any questions and suggestions about the project.
