What is a Multi-Brand Cloud Kitchen?

A Cloud Kitchen allows one physical kitchen to operate multiple restaurant concepts or virtual brands from the same location.

For example:

  • Burger House
  • Pizza Corner
  • Sushi Wave
  • Chicken Express

Each brand can keep its own menu, prices, taxes, promotions and identity while sharing the same physical kitchen and operational workflow.

Centralized Cloud Kitchen Dashboard

Get an operational overview of your Cloud Kitchen and its restaurant brands from one dashboard.

  • Total sales
  • Total orders
  • Active brands
  • Pending orders
  • Brand performance
  • Sales trends
  • Recent orders
  • Best-selling items
  • Operational alerts

Multi-Brand Management

Create and manage multiple restaurant brands directly from the Cloud Kitchen panel.

Each brand can maintain its own:

  • Brand identity
  • Menu and categories
  • Items and pricing
  • Sizes and add-ons
  • Taxes
  • SEO
  • Promotions and coupons
  • Available order types
  • Item availability

Shared operational settings such as the physical kitchen location and opening hours are managed centrally.

Centralized Orders

View orders from all brands under the Cloud Kitchen in one place while preserving the original brand ownership of every order.

  • All-brand order view
  • Brand filtering
  • Order status filtering
  • Customer information
  • Payment information
  • Order type
  • Order totals
  • Order details

Shared Kitchen Operations / KOT

Kitchen staff can manage preparation orders from all restaurant brands using one shared Kitchen Operations workflow.

  • All Brands view by default
  • Pending orders
  • Preparing orders
  • Ready orders
  • Brand identification on every order
  • Preparation time
  • Customer and kitchen instructions
  • KOT printing and reprinting where supported
  • Optional brand filtering

Your kitchen staff does not need to switch between different merchant panels just to see what needs to be prepared.

Cloud Kitchen POS

Create POS orders for any restaurant brand directly from the Cloud Kitchen panel.

Select Brand → Select Order Type → Add Items → Payment → Kitchen Operations

  • Brand-specific menu
  • Brand-specific pricing
  • Brand-specific taxes
  • Brand-specific promotions
  • Kitchen-level operational workflow
  • Dine-in table selection where enabled

Menu Management

Manage each restaurant brand’s menu without leaving the Cloud Kitchen panel.

  • Categories
  • Items
  • Sizes
  • Add-ons
  • Item Availability
  • Suggested Items

Select the brand you want to manage and work with its menu directly.

Item Availability

Quickly control item availability during daily operations.

  • Available
  • Paused
  • Sold Out

This helps kitchen staff react quickly when an ingredient or menu item becomes unavailable.

Kitchen-Level Opening Hours

Configure the Cloud Kitchen opening hours once and use the same operational schedule across all brands attached to the kitchen.

  • Monday to Sunday schedule
  • Open / Closed status
  • Opening time
  • Closing time
  • Set All Days option

When the Cloud Kitchen is closed, all attached brands stop accepting orders.

Shared Physical Kitchen Location

The Cloud Kitchen acts as the physical fulfillment location for its brands.

Shared location settings include:

  • Kitchen address
  • Latitude
  • Longitude
  • Delivery Distance Covered
  • Distance unit
  • Delivery origin
  • Pickup location

This allows restaurant search, distance calculations, delivery coverage and pickup information to use the physical Cloud Kitchen location.

Delivery Management

For Cloud Kitchens using self-delivery, delivery operations are managed at kitchen level.

  • Deliveries
  • Driver List
  • Driver Groups
  • Vehicles
  • Delivery Zones
  • Employee Schedule
  • Shift Schedule
  • Cash Collection
  • Cashouts
  • Driver Reviews
  • Delivery Settings

Drivers can deliver orders from any brand operating under the Cloud Kitchen.

The brand owns the order. The Cloud Kitchen owns the delivery operation.

Centralized Deliveries

Monitor delivery orders from all Cloud Kitchen brands from one operational screen.

  • Order / Delivery number
  • Brand
  • Customer
  • Assigned driver
  • Delivery status
  • Order status
  • Delivery address
  • Distance
  • Delivery fee
  • Payment information
  • Delivery estimate

Flexible Order Types

The Cloud Kitchen addon works with the order types configured in Karenderia.

Depending on your KMRS configuration, this can include:

  • Delivery
  • Pickup
  • Takeout
  • Dine-in
  • Curbside
  • Other custom order types

Each brand can choose which available order types it offers.

Kitchen-Level Tables

For Cloud Kitchens or hybrid restaurants that offer dine-in service, physical tables can be managed at kitchen level.

  • Table name / number
  • Capacity
  • Area / floor where supported
  • Availability status
  • Current order
  • Current restaurant brand

If your Cloud Kitchen does not provide dine-in service, the Tables feature does not need to be used.

Promotions

Manage promotional features for your restaurant brands including:

  • Coupons
  • Offers
  • Loyalty Points
  • Spend-Based Free Items
  • Vouchers where supported

Customer Engagement

  • Customers
  • Reviews
  • Email Subscribers
  • Chat

Customer information can be viewed across the Cloud Kitchen while orders remain linked to the correct restaurant brand.

Reports & Analytics

Monitor performance across your Cloud Kitchen and compare individual restaurant brands.

  • Sales Reports
  • Order Reports
  • Brand Performance
  • Product Performance

Billing

View billing information and invoices related to the Cloud Kitchen account.

  • Invoices
  • Payment history
  • Invoice period
  • Amount
  • Due date
  • Payment status

Shared Cloud Kitchen Settings

Manage important operational settings from one centralized location.

  • General Settings
  • Opening Hours
  • Order Types
  • Order & Checkout Settings
  • Preparation & Workload
  • Order Limits
  • Payment Methods
  • Tips
  • Notifications
  • WhatsApp
  • Printing

Kitchen Workload Management

Adjust additional preparation time based on the current kitchen workload.

Example:

  • Low Workload
  • Medium Workload
  • High Workload

Because all brands use the same physical kitchen, workload can be calculated across the shared operation instead of treating every restaurant brand as a separate kitchen.

Kitchen-Level Order Limits

Configure order capacity at Cloud Kitchen level to help prevent combined brand orders from exceeding the kitchen’s available capacity.

Kitchen and Brand Availability

The Cloud Kitchen and individual restaurant brands can be controlled independently.

  • Pause / Close the entire Cloud Kitchen
  • Pause / Close an individual brand

Kitchen status always has priority. If the Cloud Kitchen is paused or closed, all brands temporarily stop accepting new orders without overwriting their individual saved status.

Kiosk Compatibility

Kiosk configuration remains brand-level for compatibility with the existing Karenderia Restaurant Self-Ordering Kiosk App.

A restaurant brand can continue using its own Kiosk configuration while operating under the Cloud Kitchen.

Designed to Work With Existing KMRS Architecture

The Cloud Kitchen addon is designed to reuse existing Karenderia systems whenever possible, including:

  • Merchant management
  • Orders
  • Menu management
  • Taxes
  • Payments
  • KOT
  • POS
  • Customers
  • Delivery
  • Drivers
  • Reports
  • Notifications

Normal KMRS merchants that are not assigned to a Cloud Kitchen continue to operate normally.
