Job Station is self-hosted software. The purchase price does not include hosting, a domain name, Apple/Google developer memberships, or usage charges from external providers. Buyers create and manage their own accounts for the services they choose to enable:

• Firebase — required for FCM push notifications, Crashlytics and optional Google/Apple authentication. Firebase has a free tier, but usage beyond the provider’s allowance may incur fees.
• Stripe, PayPal, Flutterwave and Paystack — optional payment gateways. Each provider may charge transaction, currency-conversion, payout or account fees under its own pricing and regional availability rules.
• Twilio, Vonage/Nexmo or NextSMS — optional SMS services that normally charge per message or according to the provider’s plan.
• SMTP/email, web hosting and app stores — your mail provider, hosting company, Apple Developer Program and Google Play Console may charge separate subscription, infrastructure or registration fees.

All integrations are optional and disabled until you enter your own credentials. Manual bank transfer remains available without an online payment gateway.

Everything runs on a coin-based wallet with top-ups, cash-outs, transfers and escrow — giving you a self-contained micro-economy you fully control.

Guided Installation

Job Station ships with a step-by-step web installer. Because marketplace packages exclude generated dependency folders, first run composer install --no-dev --optimize-autoloader and npm ci && npm run build inside backend/, then open the installer:

1. Server requirements check
2. Verify purchase — enter your purchase code + your own Envato personal token
3. Database configuration (auto-tested)
4. App settings & admin account creation
5. Finish — your platform is live

The installer creates your database, generates a unique app key, sets up the admin account and optionally imports demo data — all from the browser.

Envato license verification is built in and required. During installation the buyer enters their purchase code and a personal token from their own Envato account; the purchase is verified live against the Envato API — no shared or embedded keys.

Performance FAQ

Can Job Station support a high-traffic deployment?
Yes. The Laravel application supports standard production scaling practices: enable PHP OPcache, use PHP-FPM, keep APP_DEBUG=false, configure Laravel’s configuration/route/view caches, and tune MySQL for your server resources.

What should run outside the web request?
Use a persistent queue worker supervised by Supervisor or systemd for email, notifications and other queued work. Run Laravel’s scheduler every minute.

Can Redis and a CDN be used?
Yes. Redis can be configured for cache, sessions and queues on larger installs. A CDN or reverse proxy can serve static assets and public media, while private KYC and résumé files must continue through Job Station’s protected routes.

Where are update instructions?
The package includes CHANGELOG.md and Documentation/MIGRATION.md, covering backups, staging, dependency installation, database migrations, cache refresh, smoke testing and rollback.
