GiveHub | Donation and Item Sharing Android App in Java with Web Admin Panel

GiveHub is a complete Android donation and item sharing platform built with Java, Firebase Firestore, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), Google Maps, AdMob, and PHP backend services.

The application allows users to share items they no longer need, discover available items nearby, send item requests, communicate through real-time chat, block other users from chatting, leave comments and ratings, follow top donors, and receive push notifications. A web-based admin panel is also included for managing users, categories, donation listings, approvals, content reports, and platform activity.

How It Works

1. Users sign in using Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication.
2. Users can upload items they want to donate or share.
3. Newly submitted items remain in pending status until reviewed by an administrator.
4. The administrator can approve or reject submitted items from the Web Admin Panel.
5. Approved items become available to other users.
6. Users can find nearby items using location-based proximity filters.
7. Items are automatically ranked on the feed using a Smart Engagement Algorithm (Likes + Unique Commenters + Donor Rating Bonus).
8. Interested users can send a request for an available item, like, comment, or review the donor.
9. Donors and receivers can communicate through real-time in-app chat.
10. Users can block abusive users or report inappropriate content directly to administrators.
11. After the item is handed over, the item can be marked as claimed.

• Donation & Item Sharing: Users can upload and share items they no longer need.
• Smart Feed Algorithm: Dynamic ranking algorithm that orders items based on authentic likes, unique commenters, donor rating bonus, and recency.
• Spam-Free Engagement Logic: Self-comments by the item owner do not count toward engagement score, and multiple comments from the same user are grouped as a single unique commenter to prevent spam.
• Donor Rating & Review System: Users can rate and review donors. High-rated donors receive an algorithmic priority bonus for their listings.
