File Locator

Need to edit theme code or debug an active plugin but don’t know the precise file and line to modify? Finding CSS or JS is easy with the inspector, but PHP is different because it is rendered on the server. With File Locator, you can quickly locate the exact PHP WordPress file and line number for any element.

It is very easy to use: simply go to the page containing the element you want to locate. At the top right, use File Locator to search for a string (e.g. content, class, or ID) within the active theme or plugins, and verify live if it’s the right file.
