EU Withdrawal Contract Requests for WooCommerce

Bluehost Shared Hosting

Overview

From 19 June 2026, EU Directive 2023/2673 requires online stores selling to EU consumers to provide a clearly visible, always-available way for customers to withdraw from a contract within their 14-day legal right of withdrawal — using the same online channel they used to place the order.

EU Withdrawal Contract Requests for WooCommerce

EU Withdrawal Contract Requests for WooCommerce adds this entire feature to your store: a visible withdrawal link, a simple request form, an automated confirmation email flow, and a complete admin dashboard to manage every request — all without writing a single line of code.

Where Customers See It

  • Auto-created page — a ready-made “Withdraw From Contract” page is created automatically on activation, with the request form already in place.
  • Footer link — an optional “Withdraw from contract here” link can display automatically in your site footer.
  • My Account tab — an optional “Withdraw From Contract” tab appears inside WooCommerce My Account, right after Orders, for logged-in customers.
  • Shortcode support — place the link or the full form anywhere else you like, including navigation menus and widgets.

The Request Form

  • Collects Name, Email, and Order/Contract Reference.
  • Logged-in customers see their own real orders in a dropdown — no manual typing required.
  • A manual reference field is available as a fallback for guests or orders not found in the dropdown.
  • Optional “Reason” field for extra context.
  • Duplicate protection — an order that already has an active request shows as disabled in the dropdown, and is blocked server-side even if entered manually.

Automated Email Flow

  • Customer submits a request and receives an acknowledgement email with a confirmation button.
  • Clicking confirm sends a final confirmation email to the customer.
  • The store owner receives an instant admin notification with a direct link to review the request.
  • All emails use a clean, modern, branded template with a fully customizable accent color.
  • Email confirmation can be turned off for instant acceptance instead, if preferred.

Admin Dashboard

  • A complete, searchable, filterable list of every withdrawal request received.
  • Filter by status: Pending Confirmation, Confirmed, Processing, Refunded, Rejected.
  • Open any request to change its status, add a private internal note, and optionally notify the customer by email.
  • Each request links directly to its matching WooCommerce order for fast, accurate refund processing.
  • Every status change automatically logs a note on the WooCommerce order itself, keeping a full audit trail in one place.

Settings & Customization

  • Toggle the footer link and My Account tab on or off independently.
  • Require email confirmation, or accept requests instantly.
  • Optionally restrict the form to orders billed to an EU country, with server-side validation even for manually entered references.
  • Set a custom admin notification email address.
  • Choose your own email accent color with a built-in color picker.
  • Optionally remove all plugin data automatically if the plugin is ever uninstalled.

Data & Compliance Tools

  • One-click CSV export of all requests, respecting any active filter or search.
  • Full integration with WordPress’s built-in Export Personal Data and Erase Personal Data tools, so customer data requests can be fulfilled properly. Erasure removes personal details while keeping a compliant record that the request was made and processed.
