Corner Bites – World Food Tour: a Cozy Merge-and-Serve HTML5 Game
Open a little counter in seven cities, merge dishes into full menus and serve hungry customers before their patience runs out.
Welcome to Corner Bites, a complete and cozy merge game built with plain JavaScript. Zoe finds her Grandpa Remo’s old recipe book and a stack of postcards: cook the Golden Dish at the World Street Food Festival in New York, but first open a counter in Paris, London, Barcelona, Rome, Istanbul, Tokyo and New York. Customers walk in from the left and wait at your counter with an order ticket and a green patience bar. Tap a machine for a piece, merge two equal pieces into a better dish, and tap the piece with the green check to serve: a burger becomes a burger plate, then a meal tray with fries and a cola, then the full menu.
Every day ends with a report and stars, every city brings a new twist and a new menu, and the seven postcards you collect along the way are puzzles you can put together. The story has a beginning, a middle and an ending in New York, and the counter stays open for free play afterwards.
Game Features:
- Window on the City, every counter looks out on its own landmark: the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, the Sagrada Familia, the Colosseum, the Galata Tower, Tokyo Tower and the Statue of Liberty
