Chapterly | Mobile App eBook and Audiobook Platform

Chapterly Android is a native Android application, written in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose, for reading serialised web novels, e-books and audiobooks. Built for the fast-growing digital reading market, it pairs a fully native mobile UI with a production-ready Laravel admin panel that owns the catalogue, the chapter prose, the coin economy and the subscription entitlements.

The app is organized around five main tabs — Discover, For You, Rewards, Library, and Profile — giving users a complete journey from finding a book to binge-reading it chapter by chapter. The catalog browses in three sections — Novels, eBooks and Audiobooks — so a reader after a serialised web novel, a reader after a finished ebook, and a listener who wants to be read to each land on their own shelf. Books open in the reader their format calls for: a distraction-free prose reader with themes and typography controls, a native PDF page view, a reflowable EPUB reader that keeps the reader’s own font and theme, or an audiobook player built on Media3 ExoPlayer with a media session. A built-in coin economy, daily check-ins, rewarded ads, and a VIP subscription unlock premium chapters and remove ads.

Backend included

The package ships the Laravel admin panel and mobile API (novel-ebook-admin-panel): a PHP/Laravel application with an admin dashboard, database migrations and seeders, a demo catalogue, and the /api/v1/ REST API the app talks to. It also ships a multi-language reading website with web checkout and a self-publishing author portal. If you already run on classic PHP/MySQL hosting, everything you need is in the box — the documentation covers local setup, the environment variables, the seeders and the production deploy.

Chapterly ships as a complete reading platform with a demo catalog so you can run it end-to-end out of the box:

• Demo book artwork uses placeholder / generated covers that you replace with your own key-art.
• Demo chapters use machine-generated placeholder prose so reading works during testing — you replace these with your own licensed novel or comic content.
• Demo audiobooks use placeholder narration audio so the player, the sleep timer and offline downloads can be tested end-to-end — you replace these with your own licensed or commissioned recordings.
• Demo PDF and EPUB titles are sample documents, included so both readers open out of the box.
• The full catalog (genres, books, volumes, chapters, and home shelves) is managed entirely by you in the admin panel.

You are responsible for the books you distribute. Chapterly provides the app, backend, and catalog tooling; sourcing and licensing the actual novels, comics, e-book files and narration recordings is up to you. If you open the author portal to outside writers, you are also responsible for moderating what they submit — every author-created book goes through a submit-and-review step before it can appear in the catalog.

Disclaimer

This app is built to work with the included Laravel web API / admin panel (MySQL), plus third-party services: Firebase (Auth, Remote Config, Analytics, Crashlytics, FCM), RevenueCat (VIP subscriptions), OneSignal (push), optional AdMob ads (banner & rewarded), and Stripe / Lemon Squeezy / Razorpay for web checkout. Hosting accounts and CDN costs are not included in the purchase — you will need to create your own accounts, configure API keys, and manage usage yourself. Basic familiarity with Android Studio, Firebase, PHP/MySQL hosting and Play Console setup is recommended before launching.
